Trust Sharp to be your single source for excellence in bottling.

Bottle Types
Sharp can package a variety of plastic bottle sizes from 24cc to 1500cc in various shapes such as round, square and oblong.

Solid Dose Filling
Sharp uses large and small format slat filling systems to fill the bottles. Solid dose products can be in tablets, capsules, caplets, soft gels/liquid gels or gel caps form. In line check weighers and fill sensors verify short fills.

Powder Filling
Sharp uses servo driven powder fillers to fill bottles and cans. In line check weighers verify the fill volume.

Liquid Filling
Liquid filling services are available. The style of pump is product dependent.

Cottoning
Cotton has been replaced with Rayon. The average length of Rayon per bottle is 3". Cottoning can be modified to customer specifications. A sensor on the bottling line verifies that the cotton is placed in the bottle and not wicked (above the seal line), to assure a proper cap seal.

Desiccants
Canister or sachet desiccants are most commonly used. Varying gram weights and desiccant counts can be inserted into the bottle.

Liners/ Seals
Aluminum foil seals are induction sealed to the bottles. A liner verification sensor assures presence. Pressure sensitive seals are also available.

Closures
Child resistant and non child resistant caps are standard. A skewed cap sensor confirms proper cap placement. After induction sealing the liner, the cap is retightened to the proper torque specifications. Other cap styles can be entertained.

Labeling
Pressure sensitive bottle labels are applied online. Lot and expiration dates can be printed and applied during this process. All labels are inspected using optical character recognition (OCR) to assure proper date and lot codes. A sensor also verifies label placement onto the bottle. Standard bar code scanners are available. Full bottle label shrink sleeving is available. Serialized labeling is also available.

Neck banding
Clear and preprinted neckbands can be applied, then heat shrunk to the bottles during the packaging process. The bands may also be perforated online.

Topserts/ Sideserts
Patient information inserts and coupons can be automatically affixed to the top of the cap or the side of the bottle. Double/ piggyback serts can be applied but must be confirmed on a case by case basis.

Cartons/ Trays
Filled bottles can be placed in individual cartons, then lot and expiration dates can be printed, or embossed, onto the carton. Bottles can also be packed, in multiples, into trays, then banded. Bundling into different configurations is available. Finished pack outs are then bulk packed into corrugated shippers. Shippers are labeled, then palletized. Sharp has carton/ tray printing and fabrication services, to expedite the packaging timeline.
